Kelcher Optometrists started back in 1969 as G S Kelcher Opticians and has over 50 years of history remaining independent and family-run. The practice has expanded from a small 2 room shop adding advanced diagnostic equipment, an on-site lab and a much wider range of eyewear!

Graham’s son, Alastair, joined as an optometrist in 2003 and in 2011, Alastair and his wife, Michaela (also an Optometrist), took over the practice when Graham retired. Alastair achieved his professional certificate in Glaucoma in 2021 and Michaela is currently working towards her professional certificate in Independent Prescribing.

Their aim, along with their dedicated team, is to keep the practice in touch with the latest technology and continue to provide excellent eye care and a great range of eyewear for our local community and beyond!
