What is Optomap?

Optomap is the only true ultra-widefield retinal imaging than can capture 82% or 200⁰ of the retina. Optomap offers unparalleled views of the retina which will provide our optometrists with the ability to examine 4x more of the retina than with traditional techniques. Ocular and systemic disease can be detected more effectively and efficiently with the Optomap, allowing us to evaluate your retina for problems such as macular degeneration, retinal holes, retinal detachments, hypertension and diabetic retinopathy.

Early detection means successful treatments can be administered and reduces the risk to your sight and health. We recommend that all our patients should have a scan as part of their eye examination. There is a small additional charge for Optomap.
