On-Site Lab

We have had our on site lab since our relocation to bigger premises in 2009.

Our skilled lab technician and Dispensing Optician are available for repairs and adjustments while you wait on frames purchased from Kelcher Optometrists.

Any repairs that cannot be done in our lab are sent to an outside company that will repair and return in about a week.

Almost all spectacles are glazed in our lab using our high tech equipment and skilled lab technician. Your glasses are taken through a process of quality, precision and prescription checks in order to produce the best finished product.

As well as glazing new pairs of spectacles if you want to re-use one of your own frames purchased from Kelcher Optometrists this is also an option. We book a glazing appointment service to have your new lenses glazed into your own frame, usually in around 30 minutes.

The ability to reglaze frames depends on the age and condition of the spectacles and we will be able to advise you about this after an assessment. Generally, we reglaze glasses that are up to around 5 years old.
